US Tower’s RMTU656MDPLGO at Ham Fest 2014

This year, US Tower Corp. rolled in an RMTU656MDPLGO to Ham Fest in Huntsville, Alabama. This rugged mobile trailer unit with 56′ lattice tower provided a strong payload support base for reaching out for amateur radio contacts. We worked with local Ham, Mr. Craig Behrens (NM4T) at our Alabama facility to integrate and test the club’s equipment on the tower unit the week before the event to ensure the functionality of the mobile station.

Mr. William S. Bathgate (KD8IGK) sent his local DX club’s kind regards and informed us of their great success with the tower:

On behalf of the North Alabama DX Club I want to say a big thank you to US Tower for providing the portable tower we used for our W100AW/4 station. The unit you provided was amazing and we had a good contingent from the Ham Fest crowd stop by and visit and take pictures.

We did over 3,000 QSO contacts during the event which exceeded our expectations of 1,500 QSO contacts.

Again, many thanks for helping us.

Sincerely,
William S. Bathgate, KD8IGK
Secretary / Treasurer NA DX Club

US Tower Corp. would like to thank everyone in the North Alabama DX Club and all of the fine folks who stopped by our booth at this year’s Huntsville Ham Fest. We will see you all again at the next convention!
